Summer term week 5

In This Section

Friday 22nd May - BBC Bitesize Music

The Music session today on the BBC Bitesize is all about composing music with found sounds. If you want to have a go, you'll need to record and edit sounds.

It depends what device you're using, but here are a few suggestions:

Audacity is a free software that is widely used, or its Audacity Portable app;

GarageBand is for Apple Macs, or has an app version for iPhones/iPads.

Both can be quite complex, so the easiest thing might be a voice recorder app on a phone, which would let you record, pause and then edit the sounds you find/create.

If you're struggling, please do email me and I'll do my best to help!

Week 5

Good morning year 5, I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I am really missing you all and I really hope I get to see you before September. I know home learning is probably becoming a bit harder now, as you have had to do it for quite a few weeks, but just keep on going the best you can. Help out your parents where you can and as much as possible, and remember that learning doesn’t always have to be the work that we have set.

You are all amazing, so I know you will be doing the best you can in this situation.

I have set you a project this week that will only be a week long. I would like you to explain to year 4 what is like in year 5. This might help them if they have any worries about coming into year 5, especially at the moment when we can’t be in school. I have uploaded it to the Summer Learning folder it is called transition. I have written some questions that you could answer but feel free to add more information as you are all the experts for year 5.

Mrs Jones is uploading the new timetable for this week, so there is plenty to be getting on with.

Let me know how you are all getting on and thank you for all your hard work so far. Keep it up.
