Visit to Arundel Wetland Centre

In This Section

On 23rd May, Reception and Key Stage 1 finally left school for their first full-day educational trip. They visited Arundel Wetland Centre, a wildlife centre for science and conservation, inspired by Sir Peter Scott, son of Antarctic explorer Captain Scott, to protect birds and then their wetland habitats.

The children had a fantastic time, learning about wetland habitats, exploring reeds, lakes and ponds and pond dipping. They had an opportunity to see dozens of species up close and to watch birds feeding and nesting. There was even time to visit the adventure playground! Feedback from children and parents was extremely positive and they can't wait to apply their experiences to their science work on animals and their habitats.
