Good afternoon Year 5,
Congratulations on completing your second week of home learning – we have been so impressed with the work you have completed and have loved looking through the pictures you have been uploading of what you’ve been doing at home. As well as the activities we have set, many of you have been completing activities of your own and it’s been great to see your creativity!
Congratulations to our Celebration Assembly winners this week (video of the assembly can be found here):
Maths Award: Alice, our Doodle Maths champion, for the most stars collected this week.
Friendship Friday: Ella, for the pizza party she organised for her next-door neighbours who nominated her! What a lovely thing to do!
Rate My Plate: Taylor, for preparing a healthy lunch, and Olivia, for cooking on an open fire!
Super Learning: Francesca, for all the maths and English work she’s been completing.
Well, it might not feel like it but you are now officially on your Easter holidays!
We hope you use these couple of weeks to do lots of lovely things as a family and switch off from school work a bit. However, we know that you are somewhat limited in what you are able to do so we have added an ‘Easter Ideas’ folder to the Documents on the Year 5 2019-2020 SharePoint with ideas and links to things you might like to do to fill your time. Please feel free to add to this if you find something that you think others might enjoy.
We don’t know what the situation will be after the Easter holidays, but it’s likely that it’ll be more learning from home so try to mix things up and change your routine a bit over these next two weeks. Please also feel free to upload any photos of what you’ve been up to to the SharePoint.
Have a great couple of weeks, look after each other and, most importantly, have fun. We are so proud of you all and miss you lots!
Mrs Howard and Mrs Jones
