Hello my lovely Year 2s,

I hope you are all well and have enjoyed your first week of learning at home! I have been blown away by how hard you have all been working and how much time and effort you have spent on your first project ‘my family’, as well as your additional weekly learning tasks. Seeing all your wonderful work shared on tapestry has made me very proud of you all. Thank you for continuing to work so hard!

For your home learning this week you have daily learning tasks to complete for reading, writing, spellings and maths. Please complete these tasks into your new home learning book – remembering to write the long date and to present your work beautifully in your neatest handwriting.

This week’s project is all to do with where you live. You have different learning tasks to complete and it is a fantastic opportunity to explore the area in which you live.

I can’t wait to see all of the fantastic work you complete this week and remember to remind your parents and carers to share it with me on tapestry.

As well as completing your home learning, please make sure you are being kind and caring at home. Each week I will be looking for friendship Friday and would love to hear of all the lovely things you have been doing for others. I will also be looking for the maths champion of the week, so remember to send me all of the fantastic maths you have been doing. We will also be doing rate my plate. If you have been helping to cook different meals throughout the week, make sure you send me a picture.

If you have any worries or concerns please send me an email and I will answer any of your questions. Look after yourselves and your families and I look forward to seeing all the amazing work you complete.

Miss Summerfield
